Tuition fee refund Policy
Regarding tuition fees paid by students who have been admitted but not enrolled to English-language programmes at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Szeged
Students admitted to english language programmes at the Faculty of Engineering will find detailed information on paying tuition fees in their admission notification letter.
Students admitted to the faculty must pay the tuition fee (for the first and second semesters) by the date and method specified on the DreamAPPly, and then must arrive and complete their university registration within 30 days of the official start of the academic period.
The start of the academic period can be found in the academic calendar posted on the faculty's website.
If students do not arrive by the deadline, they will not be able to enroll and begin their studies in the given academic year.
Applicants are only eligible for a 50% refund of tuition fees if they were unable to start their studies on time because they did not receive a visa. In this case, they may submit a refund request by October 15 (for the fall semester) or March 15 (for the spring semester
Applicants must attach an official document to their application to prove that their visa application has been rejected.
No other reasons will be accepted.
No refunds will be made for applications submitted after the above deadlines or without the appropriate official documentation.
If the tuition fee is not refunded, applicants may begin their studies when the program starts again. The results of the entrance exam are valid for one year, after which applicants must retake the exam.
By submitting the application to the Faculty, the above mentioned rules are automatically accepted by the applicant, and are no subject to further negotiations.
Closing Provision
This policy was adopted by the Faculty Council by Resolution No. 4/2025/26. (X.14.) KT and will enter into force in the Academic year 2026/2027
